A wonderful ethereal Opal sits surrounded by old cut diamonds in this Victorian cluster ring. The oval cabochon cut opal weighs 0.50 carat and has been claw set in 18 carat yellow gold. The twelve diamonds that envelop the central stone, are 0.05 carat a piece for a total of 0.60 carat. Each diamond matches in quality at G in colour and VS in clarity. A ring of platinum holds the old cut diamonds, allowing them to look their absolute best. Basketwork and a band of 18 carat gold completes this beautiful ring from the 1880s.
