Late Victorian Burmese Ruby and Diamond Ring, c.1900s

A late Victorian era ring featuring three oval-shaped Burmese rubies interspersed with vertically-set pairs of old cut diamonds. The ring has a total diamond weight of 0.20 carats, with the centre ruby weighing 0.60 carats and the remaining two rubies weighing 0.45 carats each. The diamonds are G in colour and VS in clarity, beautifully highlighting the pink/red rubies. The stones are presented in their original 18 carat yellow gold setting, which dates from the turn of the twentieth century and features a fluted gallery with broad shoulders tapering slightly through the shank.
