Early Victorian 2.50ct Diamond Clover Pendant, c.1860s
In stock
Dating back to the 1860s, this early Victorian pendant is a beautiful piece of history. The clover design drops from a wonderfully crafted fleur de lis shaped bail, both set with old cut diamonds. A 0.40 carat old cut diamond sits central to the clover, with each of the three leaves paved with an additional 1.65 carat total of smaller diamonds. A further five diamonds feature on the bail for a total of 0.45 carat. Diamonds across this stunning piece range in colour from G to H and match in clarity at VS. As was typical of the Victorian period, each diamond has been set into silver, beautifully patinaed by age. The pendant is then backed in 15 carat rose gold and attached onto an 18 carat yellow gold chain.
