Art Deco 8.50ct Ruby Dress Ring With Diamonds, c.1920s

An absolutely breathtaking art deco ring dating back to around the 1920s. The centre stone is a magnificent Burmese ruby which is a cabochon cut. It is 8.50 carat and is a wonderful deep red colour. It is sat within a hand crafted platinum mount, with old cut diamonds surrounding in the metal work. There are two diamonds on either side within a rub over setting, and the remainder are grain set within the two channels of platinum alongside the ruby. They have a total carat weight of 0.42 carat and are estimated to be G in colour and VS in clarity. Underneath the ruby is beautifully hand crafted gallery work, and the shank is also made of platinum.
