Vintage Opal and Diamond Cluster Earrings, c.1950s

These wonderful earrings feature opals in the centre which are a beautiful colour. They each weigh 2.70 carat, whilst the diamonds encircling them have a combined weight of 1.10 carat in each earring. The diamonds are eight cuts, and are estimated to be G in colour and VS in clarity. The metal is platinum and the detailed filigree work on the back of the earrings is a sign of the craftsmanship. They come with butterfly backs also made of platinum.
