Victorian 2.60ct Ruby and Diamond Crescent Moon Brooch, c.1880s

This stunning brooch dates back to the Victorian period and features a Ruby crescent moon design. Crafted with a silver front and 15 carat rose gold back, the crescent moon is adorned with a captivating array of rubies, graduating from 0.40 to 0.05 carat, while two additional 0.30 carat rubies anchor either end of the brooch’s bar. A total of 0.60 carats of sparkling old cut diamonds trace the moon’s inner curve and adorn its centre. Each diamond ranges in colour from H to I and match at SI in clarity. Measuring 4.7cm in width and 2cm from top to bottom, this antique piece is secured with a classic bar pin and safety chain for added security.
