This rare Albert chain, dates to the 1900s and features gently graduating links of solid 18 carat yellow gold. Its rarity stems from the unusual use of 18 carat gold, the majority of albert chains in the victorian era were made in 9 carat gold due to the high cost of such a weight of 18 carat gold, hence this original 120 year old example is an unusual example. Each gold link is individually hallmarked, and ends in a solid gold bar. This Victorian chain weighs 44.8 grams.
