Victorian 1.70ct Amethyst, Pearl and Diamond Brooch, c.1880s

Dating to the Victorian period, this beautiful brooch centres around an intense purple amethyst. Weighing 1.70 carat, the old cut stone is rub over set into 15 carat rose gold and surrounded by a collection of diamonds and pearls. The rose cut diamonds total 0.16 carat with each delicately grain set in silver. The four 3mm pearls sit at each of the cardinal points framing this charming piece wonderfully.
