Victorian 0.40ct Diamond Pendant, c.1880s

This stunning, diamond set pendant dates to the Victorian era. The centrepiece is an old pear cut diamond weighing 0.40 carat. This sparkling stone is surrounded by a cluster of old cut stones, set in a drop, below a Fleur de Lys shaped bail. Across the bail are additional old and rose cut diamonds, bringing the total diamond weight to 1.30 carat. Each diamond used matches perfectly in quality at I in colour and VS2 in clarity. In keeping with the period, each stone has been set in silver with a backing of 15 carat yellow gold. This beautiful piece comes in its original fitted box.
