This late Victorian piece features a captivating natural sapphire at its centre. The vivid blue stone is an old oval cut and weighs 0.60 carat stone. It is rub over set into 18 carat yellow gold, the same metal as the basket work and band. Enveloping the central stone is a halo of nine old cut diamonds, totalling 0.45 carat. These diamonds are all set into platinum to enhance their sparkle. The stones range in colour from G to H and in clarity from VS to SI.
