Edwardian 5.95 carat Sapphire, Garnet and Zircon Guard Chain, c.1910s

Dating to the Edwardian era, this mesmerising guard chain is truly unique, set with a beautiful collection of gems. A trio of Ceylon sapphires head up the collection. Fully certified by the Gem and Pearl lab, these sapphires weigh 2.70 carat, 2.00 carat and 1.25 carat respectively, each natural and unheated. Accompanying the sapphires we find: one 1.50 carat green sapphire, one 3.00 carat white sapphire, one 3.00 carat almandine garnet, one 1.40 carat garnet and one 1.75 carat zircon. Each gem has been expertly rub over set into this beautiful 15 carat yellow and white gold chain. Sitting at 56″, this chain wraps multiple times around the neck, allowing each stone to take its own pride of place.
