Edwardian 1.35ct Diamond and Ruby Target Ring, c.1910s

A rare and stunningly beautiful piece, this target ring dates to the Edwardian period. At its centre sits a 1.35 carat old cut diamond. The diamond is rub over set with milgrain detailing across the setting. Surrounding the diamond, a circle of unusual half moon rubies, totalling to 0.40 carat. are intricately set creating a beautiful flower like motif. An additional diamond halo then envelops the rubies, featuring a further 0.60 carat of old cut diamonds. All the diamonds match in quality, with a colour of H and a clarity of VS2. Down each shoulder, adding wonderful finesse a further three small diamonds are set. Each stone is delicately set within platinum, whilst the open basket and band has been hand crafted in 18 carat yellow gold, a classic design choice of the Edwardian era.
