Art Deco Sapphire and Diamond Daisy Cluster Drop Earrings, c.1920s
Out of stock
Dating to the 1920s, these breath-taking earrings feature two daisy clusters of diamonds and sapphires, hanging from diamond studded drops. The daisy comprises of one sapphire weighing 0.50 carat and 10 old cut diamonds, each weighing 0.08 carat. This hangs from a row of two diamonds, one weighing 0.05 carat and the other weighing 0.02 carat, with another deep blue sapphire at the top of the earring, weighing 0.30 carat. This means each earring has a combined diamond weight of 0.87 carat and sapphire weight of 0.80 carat. The sparkling old cut diamonds, estimated G in colour and VS in clarity, are grain set within the daisy and rub over set within the chain. The sapphire in the cluster is claw set to show off the colour, whilst the another is rub over set. The setting work is made in platinum, whilst the gallery work is all in 18 carat yellow gold. These earrings would make a lovely gift!
