Antique 0.30ct Ruby, Diamond and Emerald Moth Necklace, c.1900s

Dating to the 1900s, comes this beautiful necklace, designed in the likeness of a moth. Crafted in 18 carat yellow gold, the moth is adorned with a collection of diamonds, rubies and emeralds. Along each wing and atop its antennae, 0.60 carat total of old cut diamonds are set, each matching at G in colour and VS in clarity. Along its body, a row of graduated rubies totalling 0.30 carat are rub over set. With a small pair of 0.03 carat emeralds take on the likeness of the creatures eyes. This charming piece is presented on a 16″ chain.
