Vintage Ruby and Diamond Drop Earrings, c.1950s

These fabulous earrings date to approximately the 1950s. Crafted from 18 carat white gold, they feature a vintage design of deep red rubies and shining diamonds. In the centre of each earring is a ruby weighing 1.70 carat and the rest of the french cut rubies total 1.50 carat. The diamonds, estimated as G in colour and VS in clarity, total 0.75 carats as well. The geometric style is art deco inspired, and the mille-grain edging on the top of the piece is beautiful. They are for pierced ears with secure backs.
