Vintage Ruby and Diamond Cluster Dress Ring, c.1950s

This stunning dress ring is definitely a head turner! It features an oval ruby weighing 1.50 carat as the centre stone. The ruby is natural, however has been heat treated. It has a fabulous deep red colour, which is highlighted further by the french cut rubies and diamond cluster which surrounds. The french cut rubies, totalling 0.70 carats, have been expertly set in their pattern, and finished with a hand crafted mille-grain edge. The diamonds which encircle each corner are also mille-grain edged, and have a combined weight of 0.38 carat. The round brilliant diamonds have been estimated as G in colour and VS in clarity. The detailing on the gallery adds to the character of this ring, and part of the gallery has been shaped to make the piece wedding band ready. It has all been made in 18 carat white gold and the diamond shoulders complete this well executed and beautiful ring.
