Vintage 2.50ct Yellow Sapphire and Diamond Ring, c.1980s

An intense yellow sapphire sits at the centre of this beautiful vintage ring. The 2.50 carat emerald cut stone is rub over set in 18 carat yellow gold, its vivid colour framed by a cluster of diamonds. Surrounding it are 0.22 carat of round brilliant cut diamonds, with a pair of baguette cut diamonds flanking the centre and adding a further 0.30 carat. All diamonds match in quality at F in colour and VS in clarity. The platinum head is set on a contrasting 18 carat yellow gold basket and band, with three small decorative diamonds flowing down each shoulder, giving the piece an elegant finish.
