Victorian Diamond and Emerald ‘Target’ Ring, c.1890s
Out of stock
Handcrafted in 18 carat yellow gold and platinum during the 1890s, this wonderful example of a Victorian era target ring features an old cut diamond ‘bullseye’ with an approximate weight of 1.25 carats.
The balance of the ‘target’ is comprised concentrically of a narrow band of platinum, a single row of 0.20 carat French cut emeralds set within an 18 carat yellow gold border, and an outer border of 0.28 carat grain set diamonds trimmed with a fine platinum edge.
A petite pair of diamonds accents each shoulder of the ring’s setting, its exceptional period craftsmanship apparent in its undulating undergallery, fine millegrain work and the exacting calibré style setting of the emeralds.
