Victorian 2.50ct Ruby and Diamond Five Stone Ring, c.1880s

A trio of vibrant, cushion cut rubies are set alongside a pair of old cut diamonds in this Victorian five stone ring. The central ruby sits largest at 1.00 carat, with the two flanking stones 0.75 carat each. Each of the rubies is a natural, unheated stone of Thai origin. In between, each diamond weighs 0.80 carat a piece and has a colour of between G and H and clarity of SI1. Adding that little extra sparkle a further ten decorative diamonds have been set in between each of the stones at the top and bottom of the head, as well as on each shoulder. The ring is crafted from 18 carat yellow gold and features elegant detailing across the gallery.
