Victorian 1.50ct Amethyst and Peridot Ring, c.1866
15 Carat Yellow Gold
Sold
Out of stock
This Mid-Victorian ring has a beautiful design, featuring three amethysts accented by peridot. The amethysts are old oval cuts and are 0.50 carat each. They form a floral design, like a pansy. Four green peridots accent the purple amethyst petals. The gems are set in a 15 carat yellow gold band which has intricate scroll patterns, continuing the floral theme. 15 carat yellow gold was a metal popularly used in the Victorian era. This ring was crafted by hand at the time, from the cutting of the gemstones, to the metal working of the band. The original hallmark is present, which states the year of creation as 1866.
