Late Victorian Sapphire and Diamond Five Stone Ring, c.1900s

This late Victorian era five stone sapphire and diamond ring is a quintessential example of one of the era’s most loved styles. This original period ring features three gorgeous, old cut natural sapphires alternating with two 0.25ct old cut diamonds, all set horizontally in 18 carat yellow gold. The diamonds are G in colour and SI in clarity. This antique ring was handmade in the first years of the 20th century in the era’s prevailing fashion with a combination of single and split open back claw mountings, gorgeous scrollwork on the gallery and carved shoulders.
