Late Deco 3.50ct Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring, c.1930s

This stunning cluster ring dates back to the 1930s. At its heart sits an impressive 3.50 carat, cornflower blue sapphire. The sapphire is a natural stone cut in an unusual cabochon style and is rub over set into platinum. Enveloping the sapphire, a ring of sixteen old cut diamonds are set. Totalling 0.80 carat, the diamonds are of high quality at F in colour and VS in clarity. The handcrafted platinum setting and basket work sits atop a contrasting band of 18 carat yellow gold, completing the piece in beautiful antique style.
