Late Georgian 1.10 carat Emerald and Ruby Ring, c.1820s

Exquisitely carved 18 carat yellow gold is adorned with emeralds and rubies in this beautiful Late Georgian ring. To the centre sits the largest of the emeralds at 0.50 carat, with four smaller gems sitting at each of the cardinal points, weighing 0.15 carat a piece. Elegant floral patterning surrounds these centre stones with four decorative 0.01 carat, cabochon rubies sitting at each corner. The head of this wonderful piece measures 14.5mm by 17mm for perfectly balanced proportions, creating a truly unique ring.
