Art Deco 16.10ct Colombian Emerald and Transitional Cut Diamond Halo Ring, c.1930s
18 Carat Yellow Gold & Platinum
£47,500.00
This absolutely breath-taking emerald ring was made by hand in the art deco period. The lovely sea green emerald has been certified by the Gem & Pearl Lab as Colombian origin and is moderately enhanced. It has a weight of 16.10 carat and is held within an 18 carat yellow gold rub over setting.
A beautiful halo of transitional cut diamonds surrounds the emerald. The diamonds are estimated to be G colour. The diamonds' large tables allow the light to reflect within the diamonds. Maximum entry of light into the stones is ensured by the open back setting on the gallery.
The craftsmanship of the gallery is another area of admiration for this ring- from the expert claw setting of the diamonds to the intricate metal work across the shoulders. The shoulders are studded with grain set eight cut diamonds. The combined weight of all the diamonds is 2.28 carat.
This ring is not just an amazing statement piece, it should be worn with the pride of a work of art. The care, attention and skill which has gone into this piece required a lifetime of energy and hard work.
