Art Deco 1.40ct Sapphire and Diamond Brooch, c.1920s

This sweet Art Deco brooch features a graduated line of sapphires and diamonds. At the centre, a pair of oval sapphires sit largest at 0.30 carat each, followed by two at 0.20 carat, two at 0.15 carat, and two at 0.05 carat flanking each end.  Set between the sapphires, a collection of old cut diamonds totalling  0.30 carat are set, each matching in quality at G in colour and SI in clarity. Handcrafted in 18 carat white gold each stone is rub over set with milgrain finishing. A simple pin back keeps this delightful piece firmly in place.
