Vintage Yellow Sapphire and Diamond Ring, c.1950s

In the centre of this ring is a wonderful sunshine yellow sapphire, which is claw set. It weighs 2.02 carat and is an emerald cut gemstone. It is supported by two diamond studded shoulders. The round brilliant diamonds each weigh 0.03 carat, totalling 0.18 carat and are estimated as F in colour and VS in clarity. They are grain set and help add further sparkle to the piece. The metal is platinum and the ring dates back to the 1950s. It could be worn as a dress ring, or even an engagement ring.
