Art Deco 2.03 Carat Ruby and Diamond Engagement Ring, c.1930s
18ct Yellow Gold
This is a truly stunning three stone ring, dating back to the 1930s. It has a wonderful art deco mount and band, which has all been hand crafted to hold the gorgeous stone. In the centre you have a 2.03 carat oval cut Ruby, certified by GIA. It is held in six refined claws, and wonderfully highlighted by two side diamonds.
The diamonds are old cuts, which would have been hand cut and set back in the 1930s. They have a combined weight of 2.46 carats and a colour estimate of G-H, clarity of SI. The shank and collets are made of 18 carat yellow gold- the craftsmanship is impeccable. The symmetry is truly expert, and there is not a finger out there that it wouldn't suit.
