Victorian Opal and Diamond Cluster Ring, c.1900s

18 Carat Yellow Gold & Platinum

This little dress ring features a 0.40 carat opal which is a slightly paler colour, surrounded by 8-cut diamonds. The opal is a cabochon cut stone within a rub over setting. The diamonds have a total weight of 0.12 carat and are claw set. The diamonds have been estimated as G in colour and VS in clarity. The setting work is in platinum whilst the the gallery and band are in 18 carat yellow gold.
