Victorian 1.07ct Ruby and Diamond Halo Ring, c.1880s
18 Carat Yellow Gold & Platinum

A gorgeous natural ruby is the star of this Victorian ring. It is 1.07 carat, and has been determined to be Burmese origin. A halo of old cut diamonds surround the ruby, and are graded as G colour and SI clarity. They total to 1.00 carat, adding substantial sparkle to the ring. The old cut ruby is held within 18 carat yellow gold claws, while the diamonds are held in platinum. The split shoulders are made of 18 carat yellow gold, as is the band. This beautiful ring would have been made completely by hand in the 1880s, from the cutting of the gemstones, to the formation of the precious metals.
