Victorian 0.75ct Ruby and Diamond Cluster Ring, c.1880s

This sweet ring dates back to the 1880s and features five old cut natural rubies, totalling to 0.75 carat. The rubies surround a single old cut diamond which sits to centre, weighing 0.10 carat. There are a further five small rose cut diamonds set in between the rubies. The stones have been set into a layer of platinum. This is to help show off the rubies and diamonds. The layer of platinum is then joined onto the 18ct yellow gold ring. The split shoulders feature a hand carved pattern, adding charm to this Victorian ring.
