Late Victorian 1.60ct Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring, c.1900s
Out of stock
A wonderful sapphire and diamond cluster ring dating to approximately 1900. It has a classic Victorian style to the intricacy of the metal work and setting of the eight cut diamond, and rose cut diamonds which enhance the stunning centre sapphire. The Sapphire is a beautiful deep blue, and is a real eye catcher. It has been certified as a natural sapphire, originating from Burma (Myanmar). There is also no evidence of heat treatment, or any further enhancement, making the stone highly sort after! It is set within it’s original mount, which is made entirely out of platinum. Within the cluster design which surrounds the sapphire, there is a total of 0.50 carat of diamonds. They are a mixture of rose cuts and eights cuts arranged within the ornate setting. The diamonds are either grain set or rub over set, which shows a great level of craftsmanship. It is a lovely dress ring, and really is something special.
