Late Deco Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring, c.1940s

This stunning sapphire and diamond cluster ring dates to the 1940s. The centre sapphire is a wonderful deep blue colour and weighs 2.40 carat. It has been claw set using 18 carat yellow gold. Surrounding is a halo of round brilliant diamonds, ten in total, each weighing 0.20 carat. This brings the total weight to 2.00 carat and they are estimated as G in colour and VS in clarity. The second halo is calibrated french cut sapphires. They have a combined weight of 0.50 carat and match the centre gemstone for quality. On each shoulder are three smaller diamonds, totalling 0.12 carat in weight. All the diamonds have been set within platinum whilst the gallery and shank are made from 18 carat yellow gold.
