Edwardian Diamond and Ruby Cluster Ring, c.1910

This wonderfully hand made Edwardian ring features three rub over set diamonds surrounded by a halo of rubies, and a second halo of diamonds. There is a combined weight of 0.77 carat in diamonds and they are estimated as G in colour and VS in clarity. The rubies have a combined weight of 0.36 carat and are square cuts. They are a wonderfully vivid red and are tension set within 18 carat yellow gold. The outer halo of diamonds is made up of eight cuts, whilst the three in the centre are old cuts. There are also little eight cut diamonds on the shoulders, and they are within a triple spilt shoulder design. The diamonds are all set within platinum, whilst the shank is made of 18 carat yellow gold.
