Edwardian 0.40ct Ruby and Diamond Cluster Ring, c.1910s
18 Carat Yellow Gold & Platinum

This Edwardian ring features a ruby surrounded by a halo of old cut diamonds. The 0.40 carat ruby is a deep red, and is old cut. Ten old cut diamonds form the halo, totalling to 0.30 carat, and ranging from G to H in colour, and VS to SI in clarity. They are set in platinum, accenting their sparkling nature. The ruby is set in 18 carat yellow gold claws, which matches the slightly tapered band. This delicate ring is really a lovely example of jewellery from the 1910s.
