Edwardian 0.40ct Orange Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring, c.1910s

A rare orange sapphire takes pride of place in this stunning Edwardian cluster ring. Weighing 0.40 carat the oval cut sapphire has a vibrate orange hue, contrasting wonderfully with the platinum setting and white diamonds surrounding. A total of 0.30 carat in eight cut diamonds encircles the central gem. They match in quality at G in colour and VS in clarity. Open basketwork of 18 carat yellow gold allows plenty of light under the ring head helping the stones glisten. A gently tapering band of the same metal finished off the ring perfectly.
