Art Deco Diamond Solitaire Illusion Set Engagement Ring, c.1920s
This beautiful solitaire ring dates back to the early art deco period of the 1920s. The single stone is just over that magic one carat mark, weighing 1.16 carat. The stone has been certified by an independent certification company called EDR, who have given the stone an F in colour and clarity of SI2. The dazzling diamond is set within a claw illusion setting, which has a wonderful dipped pattern to it. This type of setting and collet is designed to have the diamond’s table look larger, and really allows the colour to shine through. The platinum basket and band are hand crafted, perfect for a hand cut stone.
