Vintage Fire Opal and Diamond Cluster Ring, c.1970s
Out of stock
This unique ring has a stunning deep orange fire opal as the centre stone. It weighs 0.50 carat and has a stunning orange hue. These types of opals are rarer than the average white opal, and this stone is slightly more translucent, which allows the light to be captured. It is then haloed by a beautiful ring of round brilliant diamonds, totalling a weight of 0.30 carat. They are estimated to be G in colour and VS in clarity, and work in perfect harmony with the centre opal. There are 10 diamonds in total and they are grain set within 18 carat white. The fire opal is rub over set using 18 carat white gold, and is finished off with a beautiful mille-grain edging. The bane is then crafted from 18 carat yellow gold, and the spilt shoulders are typical of the vintage period.
