Late Victorian 1.30ct Diamond Five Stone Ring, c.1890s

A sparkling array of five old cut diamonds are on display in this beautiful late Victorian ring. In the centre sits the largest diamond weighing 0.50 carat, flanked by two 0.25 carat stones and ending with a 0.15 carat diamond at either end. Each diamond is of high quality, ranging in colour from F to G and match in clarity at VS. The quintet have each been expertly claw set into separate hand crafted platinum claws. an incredibly rare fine in a Victorian ring. The ring itself has been in a more traditional Victorian way, in 18 carat yellow gold with beautifully elaborate gallery and carving works along the shank. A truly unique piece, this unique ring highlights the changes in craft at the end of the 19ct century.
