Edwardian 4.05 Carat Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring, c.1910

This breathtaking Edwardian ring, features a stunning natural Sapphire in the centre. It has been certified as no heat or treatment, originating from Sri Lanka. It is has been expertly hand set using a grain type setting, and then beautifully surrounded by a halo of old cut diamonds. The sapphire weighs 4.05 carat, and the cluster of diamonds has a combined weight of 1.12 carat. They are estimated as G in colour and VS2 clarity and are also grain set to match the centre stone. Further detail in shown in the diamond studded shoulders, adding another 0.08 carat to the weight. The stones are set within platinum, whilst the hand crafted band and gallery are made of 18 carat yellow gold. The perfectly woven metal work on the gallery is truly stunning and the piece is finished with a mille-grain edge.
