Art Deco Sapphire and Diamond Graduating Stepped Ring, c.1920s

This geometric masterpiece features a 1.40 carat deep blue, natural sapphire as the main attraction. It’s a stunning stone, cut into a perfect emerald shape and full of rich colour. It is rub over set and then wonderful supported by diamond baguette shoulders. The baguette cut diamonds, totalling 0.40 carat, graduate in size down the shoulder, cascading into the platinum shank. They are also rub over set, keeping the angular feel to the ring.
