0.55 Carat Transitional Cut Diamond Solitaire Ring, c.1940s
Out of stock
Dating to approximately the 1940s, this delicate engagement ring has a centre stone just over the half carat mark. With a confirmed weight of 0.55 carat, this transitional cut diamond is the star of the show. It is estimated a colour J and a high clarity grade of VS1. Transitional cut diamonds have a large table, which is the top of the diamond. This allows more light to reflect in the stone, giving it more sparkle! It is set within a platinum collet, eight claw setting. The collet is then expertly attached to the 18 carat yellow gold band. This was typical of the 1940s era, as the white metal allows the white stone to boast it’s true colour.
