Victorian Garnet and Diamond Ring, c.1880s

18 Carat Rose Gold

Hand-fabricated over 125 years ago in 18 carat rose gold, this Victorian era ring centres a richly-coloured, oval-shaped garnet with an old cut diamond set at each of its four cardinal points. The old cut diamonds have a combined carat weight of 0.40, estimated colour grade of H and clarity VS. Rich with Victorian era flourishes like hand carving, ornamental tri-part split shoulders, and a split shank, this nineteenth century garnet and diamond ring is an outstanding example of Victorian era craftsmanship.
