Late Victorian Sapphire and Diamond Three Stone Twist Ring, c.1900s

This unique and characterful three stone ring is quite simply, like no other. The centre stone is a gorgeous blue sapphire with a weight of 0.25 carats. Horizontal are two old cut diamonds, each weighing 0.20 carats. They are claw set in the centre and each stone has twist shoulders, to wonderfully show off rose cuts.

The shoulders have a total of 0.14 carats and are expertly grain set. The combined diamond weight comes to 0.54 carat and they are estimated H in colour and SI1 in clarity. The work that has gone into this piece is exquisite and the craftsmanship shines through. The collets and shank are made of 18 carat yellow gold.
