Edwardian Two-Tone Ruby and Diamond Halo-Style Ring, c.1910s

18 Carat Yellow Gold + Platinum

An oval-shaped ruby rises from within a glittering halo of petite old cut diamonds at the centre of this antique cluster ring, which dates from the 1910s. The diamond halo is claw set in platinum and the ruby, which weighs 1.00 carat and has been heat-treated, is secured by curving 18 carat yellow gold claws. The ring's original Edwardian era setting is comprised of a pierced platinum gallery that has been mounted atop a contrasting 18 carat yellow gold shank.
