Art Deco Three Stone Diamond Ring, c.1920s
Out of stock
shA stunning and classic three stone diamond ring. The centre diamond is an old cut diamond, which would have been hand cut and set within the 18 carat white gold collet. It weighs 0.30 carat and has a double claw setting. This type of setting, also known as prong setting, was popular in the 1920s, and is used consistently across all three stones. The two stones either side of the centre have a weight of 0.20 carat each. Having them slightly smaller allows the ring to graduate across the finger.
The craftsmanship of the ring is evident. Each individual collet would have been hand made and perfectly soldered to the band. The band is made of platinum, which shows another level of expertise which has gone into this ring.
